On August 30, 2024, 170 guests gathered for the "Spring in Sydney" dinner event, co-hosted by the AJS-NSW and the Australia Japan Business Co-operation Committee (AJBCC). The evening was filled with networking, cultural exchange, and strengthening of business and community ties between Australia and Japan.

This event highlighted the power of collaboration, the joy of reconnecting with old friends, and the excitement of forging new partnerships. From inspiring speeches to delightful cuisine, it was a memorable night celebrating the strong bond between our two nations.

We were honoured to have the Japanese Ambassador to Australia, His Excellency Mr Kazuhiro SUZUKI join us to present the Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation to  Debra Hazelton GAICD, Vice President of AJBCC, and Wendy Holdenson, Director of Mitsui & Co. (Australia), Ltd, both long-term members of AJS-NSW.

We also extend our thanks to the Hon. Prue Car, MP, Deputy Premier of NSW, and Councillor Robert Kok (Deputy Lord Mayor of the City of Sydney) for their wonderful speeches highlighting the bright future of the longstanding relationship between Australia and Japan.
