Do you have an idea or a project that could be successful with an Australia-Japan Foundation grant?

The Australia-Japan Foundation (AJF), part of the Dept of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), offers grants for projects that strengthen the links between Australia and Japan. The 2019 grant round is open for application now, until 28 March 2019.

To learn more about the grants, their wide applicability and the application process, AJS-NSW has invited one of the AJF Board members, Debra Hazelton, to give a presentation and provide tips about the application process.  It will be an interactive session with time for Q&A.

The event is free of charge and open to all. However you must register to attend.

Thanks to corporate member PwC for providing a venue.

AJF Grant details

In 2019 there are three cross-cutting themes for grant awards: youth; gender, diversity and inclusion; and innovation. Projects should demonstrate collaboration between Japanese and Australian partners.

Priority areas include: communication and advocacy; economic diplomacy and geopolitics; education and Australian studies; society, culture and sport; scientific innovation; and reconstruction.
