Australia-Japan Society of NSW
We are pleased to welcome Graeme Beardsell, the recently appointed CEO of Fujitsu Oceania, for our first face-to-face event in over a year.
The topic of his talk is Fujitsu’s 50 years in Australia, Digital Transformation and the new normal.
Next year Fujitsu is celebrating the 50th anniversary of business in Australia. Founded in Australia in 1972 with a focus on the sale and support of Japan-built mainframe computers, the company expanded rapidly as it gained major Australian accounts such as the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Today Fujitsu A-NZ is a leading service provider of business, information technology and communications solutions.
Mr. Beardsell is Melbourne-based, so this is a rare opportunity to make his acquaintance in Sydney.
Graeme Beardsell started in the role of CEO of Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand in November 2020. He has over 30 years of experience in senior management, P&L, sales, consulting, M&A and product management roles across start ups and well established companies, including IBM, Salesforce, Experian and Akamai.
Prior to joining Fujitsu, Graeme lived and worked in the Asia Pacific Region for more than 20 years. As Managing Director at Akamai, Graeme led the business for Asia Pacific & Japan and grew the business from $US 210M to $US 800M, also taking gender diversity from 11% to 26% and driving strategies for significant regional investment and people development.
The event will be held in a Covid-safe manner (maximum of 40 in attendance) and a Covid-safe networking with refreshments will be held after the formal proceedings.
Registration is now open from our registration page. To pay, use the form or pay direct to our bank account (details once you register).
