Kimono & Yukata Demonstration with Tae Gessner

Tae Gessner is well-known around Sydney as the founder of the International Kimono Club Sydney and for her participation in all things kimono, including the art of kitsuke, or dressing in kimono.

Again this will be an interactive event, with opportunity to ask Tae questions after her demonstration.

BIO

Originally from Nagoya, Tae was raised in the world of kimono, since her mother had her own kimono business. She also studied kimono for two years at Tokiwa Jyogakuin (常磐女学院) and worked for a large kimono wholesaler.

Now Tae gives Kimono and Tea Ceremony workshops and demonstrations at Japan Festivals and school incursions, as well as at Ryokan Gojyuan in Balmain and other private locations.
